As an accounting assistant manager, you are responsible for providing financial and accounting services to a business. This includes preparing financial reports, participating in budget preparation, maintaining financial records, monitoring cash flow, assisting in creating and executing financial strategies, and assisting in tax preparation.
You are also responsible for conducting detailed financial analyses, interpreting financial statements, and making recommendations to the accounting manager.
Your duties and responsibilities may also include:
- Collaborating with the accounting manager – gathering the necessary data and providing assistance with the budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable – monitoring all invoices and ensuring bills are paid in a timely manner.
- Reviewing financial documents – such as bank statements, credit reports, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Performing reconciliation for multiple accounts – balancing the general ledger, bank accounts, and loan accounts.
- Preparing monthly financial reports – monitoring the expenses and income of the business.
- Analysing financial reports – identifying areas of required improvement and providing appropriate recommendations.
- Conducting risk assessment – managing credit risk, market risk, foreign exchange risk, and operational risk.
- Providing general administrative support – filing documents, managing office supplies, setting up meetings and training sessions, etc.
