As a Counter Sales Representative, you play a crucial role in the Retail/Sales sector by directly engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and driving sales for the company. In an ever-evolving retail landscape, staying updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies is key to success. You will interact with customers, sales teams, and occasionally with vendors, all while being a pivotal part of the company’s customer service and sales structure. Success in this role is measured by meeting sales targets, customer satisfaction scores, and upselling/cross-selling metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: You will be responsible for planning and executing sales strategies, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives to meet sales targets and enhance customer experience.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and guiding customers through product selection require quick thinking and effective decision-making skills.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with marketing, inventory, and customer service teams to ensure product availability, accurate order processing, and seamless customer interactions.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Providing guidance and support to junior sales staff, sharing best practices, and fostering a positive work environment to achieve team goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in POS systems, basic computer skills, familiarity with CRM software, ability to operate standard office equipment, and knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in sales or customer service are a plus.
- Experience Level: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service roles; familiarity with the retail industry and product knowledge.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, problem-solving abilities, adaptability to dynamic work environments, and a proactive approach to sales.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of retail sales processes, customer engagement strategies, and compliance with sales regulations.
