Responsibilities
- SAP SD Implementation & Configuration: Design, implement, and configure the SAP SD module to meet the specific business requirements of clients or internal teams. Customize the SD module for order processing, billing, pricing, delivery, and invoicing. Perform system upgrades and enhancements to improve SAP SD functionalities.
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with key business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to sales, distribution, and customer management. Analyze business processes to identify gaps and recommend SAP SD solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Develop test cases and perform system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the SAP SD module functions as expected. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order processing, pricing, billing, and logistics.
- End-User Support & Training: Provide end-user support for SAP SD-related queries and issues. Conduct training sessions and workshops for users to ensure they are well-versed with the SAP SD system.
- Documentation & Reporting: Document system configurations, business processes, and technical specifications to ensure proper knowledge transfer. Create and maintain detailed reports on SAP SD performance and areas for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other SAP functional consultants (FI, MM, PP, etc.) to ensure seamless integration across modules. Work closely with IT teams and other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP SD advancements, best practices, and industry trends. Recommend and implement process improvements for optimizing sales and distribution processes.
Requirements and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience of 3-5 years as an SAP SD Consultant, with hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle SAP SD implementation.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of SAP SD module and its integration with other SAP modules (FI, MM, PP). Experience with pricing, billing, order processing, delivery, and credit management. Familiarity with SAP customization tools and techniques (e.g., ABAP basics, SAP S/4HANA). Proficient in business process analysis and SAP SD best practices.
