Solutions Engineer Job Description
A Solutions Engineer is responsible for establishing the integration of technical tools, services, and products in the workplace. These professionals use their understanding of organizational objectives and customer service operations to provide the most efficient solutions and ensure all sides involved are satisfied. A Solutions Engineering must possess an extensive knowledge of procedure development and system functionality with the ability to evaluate a project’s progress and look for improvements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to define and document system solutions and strategy
- Creating technical diagrams and detailed design specifications for missions, solutions design, and operations
- Administering the installation, support, and maintenance of hardware/software solutions
- Testing applications and systems prior to deployment as well as developing, running, and executing tests throughout the life cycle
- Analyzing data to improve performance and troubleshoot problems
- Developing and managing reports for updates on development
