Overview of Form 10C
Form 10C is a document submitted to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) by an employee claiming retirement benefits from the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account. This form is for those who have already completed their five years of continuous service and are attaining the age of 58 years. It allows eligible employees to withdraw the accumulated amount of their EPF corpus while continuing their job service with the same employer.
Form 10C is also used to make permanent advancement withdrawals to accomplish short-term and/or long-term expenses. Permanent advancement withdrawals are subject to certain conditions, such as the need to submit a Form 19, Form 10C, and Form 31. The total advancement withdrawal allowed from the EPF account is restricted to 50% of the full amount maintained in the respective account.
